The Clean Vidalia Initiative is a city-sponsored, community-wide effort to reduce litter, promote cleanliness, and encourage residents to take pride in Vidalia.

It involves coordinated work between the Keep it Clean Vidalia Committee (KICVC), the City of Vidalia's public works and solid-waste partnerships, and community volunteers or residents; the city provides trash pickup, recycling, and guidelines for yard-waste and bulk items, while the initiative emphasizes responsible disposal and community participation.

A key part of the effort is raising awareness of how litter and improperly discarded waste affect quality of life, local businesses, and overall community well-being; not just aesthetics.

The Clean Vidalia Initiative is a city-led community program focused on reducing litter, improving waste disposal habits, and keeping Vidalia’s public spaces clean and welcoming. A city we love is a city we care for.

It’s coordinated by the Keep it Clean Vidalia Committee under the City of Vidalia, with support from local volunteers, residents, churches, civic organizations, and community groups.

The program was created to address rising litter concerns, promote civic pride, and ensure Vidalia remains a clean and inviting place to live, work, and visit.

Residents can participate in scheduled cleanup events, follow proper waste-disposal guidelines, report litter issues, and encourage neighbors to do the same.

Businesses play a key role in keeping Vidalia clean. Keep your dumpster area secure and litter-free, since anything outside the bin often ends up in the street. Regularly pick up your parking lot and surrounding area to prevent trash from spreading. Small, daily efforts make a big difference! We appreciate the partnership!

Yes! The KICV committee will host regularly scheduled cleanup events where volunteers work together to clean parks, roadsides, and public areas. We also encourage you to keep the mindset year-round!
