Job Requirements
Knowledge Required by the Position
Knowledge of NCIC/GCIC policies and procedures.
Knowledge of emergency communications principles.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
Skill in the operation of radio, communications, and recording equipment.
Skill in operating a computer.
Skill in dealing with the public.
Skill in maintaining records and preparing reports.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Must possess or be able to obtain GCIC/NCIC certification.
Must possess or be able to obtain a communications officer certification in Georgia as issued by the Peace Officers Standards and Training Council.
